DAY 1: En Route

Depart the U.S.A. on your flight to Turkey.


DAY 2: Arrive Izmir

Meet our guide and transfer to the hotel by coach. A short briefing will be provided by our guide at the hotel in the afternoon. Evening at leisure.


DAY 3: Izmir- Ephesus

Leave for Ephesus, the veritable cradle of early Christianity. Visit the Shrine of the Virgin Mary where she supposedly spent her later days. Proceed to Ephesus and see the spectacular ruins from the period of St. Paul, some of which have only recently been excavated. See the Odeon, the Bouleterion, the Fountains, the Temples, the Brothel, the Library, the Agoras, the Great Theater, the Roman Baths, the Gymnasiums, the Double Church and the Stadium. After lunch visit the Archaeological Museum, Isa Bey Mosque, St. Johns Basilica and his tomb and the Temple of Artemis (one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world). BreakfastLunch


DAY 4: Izmir

Free Day. Breakfast


Optional Pergamon & Asclepion Tour: Drive to Pergamon. Visit the Acropolis, the Temple of Athena, the famous Library, the Royal Palaces, the Temple of Trojan, the steepest theater of the world, the Temple of Dionysos, the Altar of Zeus (Seat of Satan), and the view of the Red Basilica (St. Johns church). Lunch in town. Visit the Ethnographical and Archaeological Museums and the ruins of Asclepion (Medical Center of the ancient world).
